NAIDOC Awards Nominations Open

Inspirational Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to make huge contributions in all areas of society including music, art, culture, community, education, environment, sport, employment and politics.
If you know someone in Roxby Downs or surrounding communities who deserves to be recognised for their contribution, then complete a nomination form.
Award categories include
    • Senior 26 years and older
    • Youth 12 to 25 years
    • Junior 11 years and younger

NAIDOC Poster Competition

NAIDOC Week is a celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year the 2017 Roxby Downs NAIDOC Planning Committee is people to submit a poster expressing the spirit of NAIDOC Week and the theme ‘Our Languages Matter’.
There are five categories in this competition:
1. Tinys: For entrants under 5 years old
2. Minis: For entrants in Reception to year 2
3. Juniors: For entrants in years 3-6
4. Youth: For entrants in years 7-11
5. Open: For entrants 18 years or older
Entries must be submitted along with the below application form by 5pm, Friday 16th June 2017at the Roxby Council office or by email to:
