Emu Walk
The Emu Walking Trail is a 3 kilometre self-guided circuit trail. The head of the trail is on Richardson Place outside of the Roxby Downs Visitor Information Centre, however you can start the walking trail at any point along the circuit.
The Emu Walk winds its way around residential Roxby Downs, through the community garden, over sand dunes and through nature reserves. Along the trail you will see different species of native trees as well as a glimpse of the Olympic Dam mine.

We would like to acknowledge the Kokatha peoples, the traditional owners of the land on which we meet today and pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are present today. Traditionally the Kokatha people have been associated with the land to the north of Port Augusta, from Lake Torrens in the east to the Gawler Ranges in the west. In September 2014, the Kokatha People were formally recognised as the Traditional Owners of a large section of land in the north of South Australia. is includes the land surrounding Roxby Downs, Olympic Dam and three pastoral stations; Roxby Downs, Andamooka and Purple Downs.
