Roxby Downs is often referred to “as the perfect town for young families” with daily activities for children aged 0-5 years. Activities include story time at the Community Library, dance lessons, playgroups, Lego club, a Splashpad, swimming pools and neighbourhood playgrounds.
The town has a 60 seat movie theatre and a newly built Youth Centre equipped with a community kitchen.
There are two schools and two child care centres. There are families with au pairs/nannies and also family day care options.
Roxby Downs provides a safe, sheltered environment for families to spend quality time together experiencing all that the Australian outback has to offer!
Community Youth Centre (CYC)
A beautifully renovated space that re-opened in March 2016 after a major refurbishment, now also included is a Community Kitchen that can be utlised by many different community groups.
Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)
that is part of the Council & Community Board collaborations that caters to Youth in years 7 to 12.
Youth & The Arts
In March 2004 there was a community art project for the Youth of Roxby at the time. The mural that resulted was where the current Tiled Mural is on the wall of the Roxby Link Complex opposite the swimming pool.

Roxby Link has a very large range of Sports and Recreation available to children and youth including a child minding service for people attending the Roxby Link Centre.
